COVID-19 Policy
The rise of COVID-19 presents Wallaroo’s with difficult questions that would keep your average Philosophy Major up at night. We’re doing our best to develop our COVID-19 policy. As a business, our initial impulse is to stay open as long as possible. If we aren’t open, we can’t fulfill our mission of providing families with high-quality, affordable furniture. If we can’t fulfill our business mission, it becomes difficult to provide for our employees. Yet, by staying open, we’re also potentially putting our employees’ and customers’ health at risk. This situation becomes stickier for a company like Wallaroo’s, which has branches in different states affected in different ways by COVID-19. At this time, we are going to lean on the guidance of the respective Governor’s leadership. We will shape our COVID-19 policy with their thoughts in mind. This means we’ve closed all our doors in Spokane, Spokane Valley, Boise, Coeur d’Alene, and Missoula. For more updates from our respective authorities in Washington, Montana, and Idaho. Our employees form the cornerstone of our business. As such, we will keep the employees in affected areas on our payroll as long as possible. We’re fortunate to have the resources to do so, though, like all resources, they are limited. We wish all the folks and families affected by COVID-19 the best and look forward to the day we can all congregate again. COVID-19 has already taken much from the community. It wreaked havoc on our friends in the service industry in the last week. Music and art gatherings have been canceled, directly affecting the livelihood of those folks. There are trying, difficult times ahead. But, know this, too: even if we can’t see each other, we can grow stronger together. So in the next few weeks, make sure you keep growing. You’ll want to process before you make a rash decision and end up with that cute blush-pink Mid-mod sofa that totally clashes with your grandpa’s dark grey recliner. 2: Be Prepared to Measure the Competition Nothing is worse than getting a piece of furniture home or delivered only to find out that it won’t fit through your door–or that it’s going to take up too much space in your tiny living room! Along those lines, make sure you know the measurements of your entranceways and rooms. Having a rough sketch of your room layout and some pictures is a great way to save a headache. Plus, no matter where you’re furniture shopping in Spokane, it’ll help your salesperson find the right piece for your vision. You’re going to see a lot of brown, lifeless furniture, and you’re going to see a lot of the same brown, lifeless furniture. It’s gonna be tough and someone is going to get bored, especially if you’re in it for the long haul.
